What personal data does the photographer collect?
The photographer processes the following personal data:
General data such as first name and surname, gender, telephone number, position, address, email address;
Financial data such as bank details;
Login details for online tools, social media channels and online advertising accounts, IP address;
Other personal data that you voluntarily provide to the photographer.
When you browse the website www.sarahem.be, your IP address and behavioural data may also be collected through cookies. In this regard, the photographer also refers to her Cookie Policy, which you can consult via this link.
No sensitive personal data are collected.
You may have provided your personal data to the photographer via email, via her social media pages (for example Facebook Messenger, Instagram), by browsing the website www.sarahem.be, or in any other way. The photographer may also have received your data via third parties, for example following a referral or through public sources such as the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises.
Please do not forget to inform the photographer of any change to your personal data if this information is relevant to the photographer. The photographer, in turn, strives to keep your personal data accurate.
If you do not wish to provide certain data, it is possible that the photographer may not be able to perform the requested services (properly).
What does the photographer use your personal data for?

In certain cases, the photographer will process your data on the basis of your consent for the purposes described above, insofar as this is in line with the relationship between you and the photographer. In this respect, it is important to mention that the consent given, for example for your email address and its use for sending our newsletter, may be withdrawn at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every newsletter.
What protective measures has the photographer implemented?
The photographer has taken administrative measures (such as the use of passwords, confidentiality agreements where necessary), organisational measures (e.g. appropriate storage methods, regular backups, limiting access to persons who need the data) as well as technical measures (e.g. antivirus software, securing network connections through the use of a Secure Socket Layer (SSL)) to protect your personal data.
The photographer also strives to take appropriate measures in the future, always taking into account the specific nature and size of her activities, the state of the art, implementation costs, as well as the context and purposes of processing and the varying likelihood and severity of the risks to the rights and freedoms of individuals.
The photographer’s website may contain links and plug-ins to external websites. If you provide personal data to these websites, the privacy rules of those websites shall apply and such parties shall primarily act as data controllers.
With whom does the photographer share your personal data?
The photographer only shares your data with external service providers who assist the photographer in the performance of the services. These include her IT providers and accountant.
These external service providers are also bound by privacy legislation and the photographer makes the necessary arrangements with them (for example by entering into a data processing agreement). They only receive the data that are necessary to perform their service. These parties do not use your data for their own purposes.
Finally, your personal data are shared with the competent authorities if they so request. The photographer will inform you of this in advance if this is permitted.
Are your personal data transferred abroad?
The photographer will only transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Union if the European Commission is of the opinion that an adequate level of protection is provided there and those countries appear on the list of third countries approved by the European Commission.
If this is not the case, the photographer will ensure that the country or international organisation has taken the necessary security measures to safeguard the protection of your personal data.
How long does the photographer retain your personal data?
The photographer retains your personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which we use your data or no longer than strictly necessary to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. The final retention period will therefore always depend on the applicable legislation and the respective purpose for which your data are processed. Applicable law and court
This Privacy Policy and the processing of personal data are in principle governed by Belgian law. All disputes shall preferably be settled amicably. If this proves impossible, all disputes arising from this Privacy Policy and the processing of personal data shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of the district in which the photographer has her registered office, if this is permitted under the applicable legislation.

Liability
The photographer cannot in any way be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of our website, our services and/or the processing of your personal data. You shall fully indemnify and hold us harmless against all damage, costs, expenses and losses that may arise from this.
If and insofar as the photographer should nevertheless be held liable in any way, liability for indirect damage shall in any event be excluded. Any possible liability shall moreover be limited to an amount of €1,000 per event and €2,000 per calendar year. Furthermore, our liability shall under no circumstances exceed the amount paid out by our insurance.

In this copy, please black out your photograph and MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport). This copy will be destroyed immediately after verification of your identity. This is to protect your privacy.
